[ WARDED TO REMUS LUPIN. ]
Alright, pup. This is how it's going to work. You have one more chance to join me voluntarily. And then I'm going to make you. You don't belong with those humans. Do you think a few friends makes you belong? Or that it makes you wanted? There ain't room for werewolves in that society. It don't matter if you fight your instincts every step of the way. This ain't natural, what you're doing. Like a wizard not doing magic. Trying to fit in with the muggles. Always ends badly. You can't fight what you are forever, Lupin, not like the humans want you to. Deep down, you're the same as me. The wolf wants blood, and the longer you keep denying it that, the harder it's going to be. You'll snap, you'll attack your "friends." Maybe someone you don't know. Maybe kill them.

And then where will you be? You going to let them cart you off to Azkaban, after how long you tried to let them train you into some pet dog? Just takes one mistake, and it will happen eventually. They'll take you away just for doing what's in your nature. A werewolf's nature. Humans don't appreciate the power we have, so they treat us as their inferiors. But us werewolves are worth a lot more than they are. We have a gift.

So this is it, Lupin. You join me, you have the support of your equals, and you'll never see the inside of Azkaban just for being what you are.

You're welcome, Scrimgeour.

Did you like my gift, Lupin? Figured you might be a bit hungry. Do make sure to let Scrimgeour see the note her children wrote for him, though.

Seems we're down to just the kids, now. Guess the DMLE isn't too concerned about saving this family. Time for a new offer. I'll give the kids up for Brimstone and Scrimgeour. Won't even ask for just your heads this time, since you all seem so touchy about that. Anyone else comes along with you, I'll kill them.

What do you say, DMLE? Have we got a deal?

Huh. You know, if I were in the DMLE, I'd feel like I'd be a lot more concerned with the state of things than accents and the weather. Just goes to show how seriously they take their jobs. And why I've still got the run of the place.

Seems that Bangold's head is more important than innocent lives, so these kids have lost their daddy too. Won't have to go far for this one, Scrimgeour. I'd check the dumpster behind your flat. Kids left another note for you, too.

Now we're down to the mother. Since you won't give me the Minister's head, or Bangold's head, let's go with the Head of Werewolf Support Services. Ambrose Furmage. His head for this woman and her children' lives.

Well, seeing as the old woman's life wasn't worth the Minister of Magic's head to Scrimgeour, I guess we can move on to the next one. This one here's the father of the kids. Says his name is Trevor Walker.

I'll make a new offer. I'll let this man and the rest of his family go in trade for Millicent Bagnold's head.

You lot also might want to clean up the mess the old grandma left behind. The kids decided to leave you a note with her body, Scrimgeour. [ address to an empty house in Wales. ]

Hey, Scrimgeour. I've got a little test for you. I've got a little old lady here, and well, I reckon she'd like to know what you're gonna do to go about saving her life. In fact, it's probably safe to say the rest of her family I've got tied up here probably wants to live, too. So he's what we're going to do. I'm going to make a demand, and if you don't meet it, then I'll kill one of my captives here.

Let's start with the old one. Says her name is Grace Walker. She's a mudblood.

Now, here's what I want from you, Scrimgeour. I want the Minister of Magic's head. You can go ahead and try to trick me with a transfigured one if you like and see what happens. Not my life that's on the line here, so if you want to risk hers, be my guest. I've got the others here even if I lose her, after all.

Not a bad full moon, if I do say so myself. Kid took his first moon like a champ. Much better than Garret did, but he's coming along pretty well, too. Think it's about time I take him out during the next full and let him have a bit of fun chasing down some humans for himself. Think I could let them loose around Scrimgeour's house and he still wouldn't catch us, but it's more fun to give him the run around.

Hear there's a carnival in town. Maybe I'll pay a visit, unless they've gone and banned werewolves. Have they, Remus?

A bit older than I usually like, but at least teenagers don't cry so much. They just get angry, and I can work with that. Randall here will get used to his new home soon enough, what with being a squib and all, he wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms in the first place, was he?

You find those bodies, Scrimgeour, or did you let them get away too? What was left of them, anyway. You know how a werewolf's appetite can be.

I want to know more about that Clementine girl. Seems she thinks she can stop me from talking to her, and well, I do have a reputation to uphold.

How's the face, Scrimgeour? Funny thing about scars from a werewolf -- they don't ever heal completely. But you'd know that by now. Will you think about how you let me get away again every time you look in the mirror?

Sure hope that Cruciatus Curse you cast didn't drain you too much. Gotta be filled with a lot of hate to pull that one off, but you managed the Unforgivable Curse admirably. Good show, Auror. Was it blind rage or strategy that helped you to make the decision to use the Dark Arts? Seemed pretty angry to me, what with all the swears you were throwing around after you chastised me for using them, and I'd just hate to think that a man of the law would let his temper get the best of him.

[ apparation coordinates. ]

Once you're there, it's a 15 minute walk to the South. There will be a cafe on the left.

See you there, doll. Don't be late, and don't bring company.

Ain't it tradition or some such to hunt for eggs on Easter? Where's the challenge in that? The eggs can't even run. Me, I prefer my prey already hatched. Maybe I'll take the cubs out for a little hunting trip today. Wouldn't do for them to miss out on the Easter fun, yeah?
